Hawaiian culture stresses the importance of family and respect for the customs and traditions of the community and its elders. One of 8 sisters and 2 brothers in a traditional Hawaiian family, Daverine ("Teacher Rena"), brings that cultural background to Imagination Station where respect for family and acknowledging the child's cultural roots is at the core of our teaching philosophy. Rena has been a key member of the Imagination Station teaching staff since 2006. Like all of our teachers, she is fully state-certified.
Outside of work, Rena is a mom to two lively little girls Sarah Rae and Emmaleigh Pearl.
